Whangarei marina

Executive Stay Whangarei is just 2 hours by road north of Auckland and only 1 hour from the the Bay of Islands, Waipoua Kauri Forest (home to Tane Mahuta / God of the Forest), and only 30 minutes by road from the spectacular coastline of Tutukaka and Whangarei Heads (where you can climb Mount Manaia for the perfect holiday selfie).

Whangarei is built around the Hatea River and Whangarei Harbour, so you are never far from the water and our fabulous self contained property is located in the heart of Whangarei city in a pretty tree-lined street and very close to Toll Stadium.

If you prefer to stay close to your accommodation, there is plenty for you to experience right here in Whangarei city.

Take a short hike up Parahaki for city views or enjoy great coffee and food at the Town Basin, hire a bicycle and do ‘The Loop’, check out the national clock museum or local art at Whangarei Art Museum – all within walking distance of Executive Stay Whangarei.

If you’ve never seen a Kiwi, you can do that here too.  Or take a picnic and soak in the sight of magical Whangarei Falls, just 15 minutes by car.

The local village close to Executive Stay Whangarei has a corner store (dairy) which sells everyday items such as milk, bread and the newspaper.  There is also a fantastic bakery and fish & chip shop if you don’t want to go far to eat.

Closer to the house is Morningside Park, which is a public reserve with a children’s playground, basketball court and soccer fields – so is a fun place to go if you have children with you.
